Venom-based marketplace Valicit facilitates over 230k Numi Stories ticket sales

Venom blockchain-based decentralized marketplace Valicit has sold over 230,000 tickets within 24 hours before the Numi Stories Club 404 game’s launch on Venom’s testnet.

According to a statement shared with CryptoSlate, the tickets grant players early access to the multiplayer features of the Numi metaverse’s Numi Stories game.

Numi Games

Numi Stories is “reminiscent of popular rhythm games like Dance-Dance-Revolution but with a unique RPG twist.” The rhythm action mobile game allows users to execute tasks and engage with VTubers using Numi Club NFTs. It is currently available for download on both iOS and Android devices.

Despite the high level of demand, Valicit allows users to trade tickets easily as it eliminates the bottlenecks prevalent on traditional ticketing platforms. According to its website, the platform will enable users and event organizers to verify the legitimacy of tickets using blockchain authentication powered by Venom.

Venom is a regulatory-compliant blockchain licensed by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). Venom Foundation built the network on Threaded Virtual Machine (TVM).

Mohammad Binyamin Chaudhry, Valicit founder, noted that the significant number of ticket sales was a testament to the efficacy of the platform’s solution and validated their belief in the power of blockchain.

Numi CEO Victor Tumasov expressed joy to be among Venom’s first projects featured on the Valicit ticket platform. Tumasov said:

“For us the ability to sell tickets to events in our metaverse is a very interesting possibility that gives us a lot of potential cool use cases.”

He added that the game’s first event would be a PvP mode, allowing users to compete in one-on-one dance faceoffs.

The PvP event, which will end on the night of September 5th, promises to reward the top 100 players with an exclusive NFT premium RadLad set.

Friend.tech founders have controversial ties to failed NFT project Kosetto

Information on social media platform X(formerly Twitter) suggests that Friend.tech founders 0xRacerAlt and Shrimppepe have connections to a failed NFT project, Kosetto.

Kosetto NFTs

Kosetto is a tradeable NFT wearables project launched last December on Ethereum. The project, which consisted of 1,689 items, sparked significant excitement with users flooding social media platforms with posts about it. However, after it had introduced a Chrome extension for its NFTs in January, the project went silent in February after promising that “something big was coming.”

OpenSea’s data shows that the floor price of the collection is currently 0.01 ETH, around $17. The last sale for the NFTs occurred in February, with its total sales volume at only 5 ETH.

As of press time, Kosetto’s website was unavailable, displaying an Error 402.

Describing the project’s sudden demise, Justin Kalland, the Vice President of Innovation at Horizen Labs Ventures, said:

“The entire thing just disappeared, last update was in January that a Chrome extension was available. No communication or warning to users.”

Link to Friend.tech founders

On X, several crypto community members have pointed out that the struggling NFT project was linked to the Friend.tech founders.

Kalland pointed out that a search of 0xRacerAlt’s tweet shows that they have deleted several links to the NFT project and that the Friend.tech founder held an official position on Kosetto Discord.

CryptoSlate confirmed that 0xRacerAlt and Shrimppepe play an active role in Kosetto’s Discord community.
